I am slowly but surely getting there, I finally have internet that works! We finally got it connected but since it was so far away from the 'hub' it kept going out! So I moved it closer (in the kitchen now) and it still goes up and down (out of four bars I go from 3 down to 1 every few mins.) at least I have something! Wow I love the internet, I want it more than cable (which by the way I don't have, only having two channels really isn't nice, wait channel 67 comes in the clearest so I can watch infomercials with no problem) I'm so glad you can watch shows on the internet, if only I can get some more bars if not it doesn't work, I tried.
My back is better today but still can't do much, we still need to move all the big stuff out and all my kitchen stuff I think I posted that already, oh well you know how it is when you move and this is also a temporary spot so we need to be finding a new one.....aaahhhh life, it is okay when you have a wonderful man by your side though, he has been so wonderful ( I feel so bad for him, it's his side of the family!).
Alright I need to go sit and rest my back I have so many blogs to read!!!!! I will get to it, kind of excited to have so much to read! Thanks for the love and support!

Emergency Exit/B-day
Well Chrissy was part of the way right (refer to comments on last post) my in-laws did arrive in town but instead of not having time for blogging I didn't have internet to blog! We ended up having a 'family conference' on Easter sunday (right before I was suppose to go up to my family's house for Easter dinner) and things went really bad and we ended up moving that evening because I honestly was scared to stay there anymore (because of my BIL, although my in-laws took his side they weren't threatening). So not only did we not get Easter dinner but we got kicked out of our beautiful home. My husband has been slowly moving a car load a day, we didn't have any boxes and still have all the kitchen and craft/pantry stuff to load up, along with the big furniture, hard thing is we are staying in a one bedroom (not big enough for our king size bed) tiny kitchen (I will post pictures) basement that is already furnished!!!! So we need to find a place to store some of our stuff! And yes our friends are so incredibly nice for taking us in etc... but they can't guarentee how long we can stay! one month...two, one of their own children may need to move in and we totally understand. So we still need to be searching for a place, but what place rents out for what we can pay? None!
And with all this I threw out my back on tuesday (and sad thing is it wasn't from moving, just coughing!) it hurts so much, this has happened before and wow I think you forget just how bad it hurts and how much you can't move. But I know it will get better, it may just take a week! Also tuesday was my birthday my parents come down and we went to lunch then they helped us get a load of stuff from the house and move it.
I am so so so so glad to have internet here (not a strong signal but at least it works), I only get two channels on the tv so I am going to be an internetholic now. But I need to go rest my back now the computer isn't set up on a table yet so I am sitting on the floor, not good!

Word of the Month...

I will share a few quotes I have found on PRAYER and then a story from my own personal life about PRAYER...
Never assume that you can make it alone. You need the help of the Lord. Never hesitate to get on your knees in some private place and speak with Him. What a marvelous and wonderful thing is prayer. Think of it. We can actually speak with our Father in Heaven. He will hear and respond, but we need to listen to that response. Nothing is too serious and nothing too unimportant to share with Him. He has said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt. 11:28). He continues, “For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matt. 11:30). ~Pres. Hinckley
Family prayer is the greatest deterrent to sin, and hence the most beneficent provider of joy and happiness. The old saying is yet true: “The family that prays together stays together.”
"Prayer is the provider of spiritual strength. Prayer is the passport to peace." ~Pres. Monson
At the end of February I couldn't find my driver's license and debit card (I actually remember the day because it was my Dad's birthday and I forgot to call him because you know how you get when your DL and DC go missing!) I like to put them in my jacket pockets so that I don't have to take my purse into the store since I already carry oxygen, so I went through all the pants and jackets I wear (all three of them!) and no cards, looked through my purse and on my desk, nothing. I didn't think they were stolen since I don't shop a lot if anything I thought maybe they got thrown away because sometimes I stick them in the bag with the receipt. I knew that I could pray for help in finding them since I've done it for numerous things before (cell phones, wallets, the dog, etc...) some answers (like the dog) are answered quicker than others, but the thing that was constant was that I felt peace about it, like it wasn't stolen so I didn't have to cancel them etc... but I really didn't want to go get a new DL! what a pain! plus MH is never home when they are open so I would have to get a ride, well I kept praying and looking (remember we have to do our part) and praying and looking....finally after three weeks! I decide I will search yet again through all my pockets, it was actually the day I was going VT and my companion is so nice and takes me on errands afterwards but how can I run errands without a debit card? MH was already gone so I couldn't use his. So I search, nope not in the pockets I have searched many times before, then I decide to check the skirt that I always wear VT (make the connection?) I FOUND THEM! I must not have used them since the last time I went VT!!!!! and that was way before I even noticed they were missing ( I don't go shopping much) so I never even thought to check my skirt! My prayer was answered and my companion was able to take me to the post office because again MH is always gone during their hours of operation!
Just my little 'lost & found' prayer story, do you have one?

Sick dog & Muffin Girl....
That's right a sick dog again (I swear I need to investigate dog insurance) it all started at 2am (why is it always at night?) Texas got out from under the covers and threw up on top of the blanket (at least both dogs always do that, guess they don't want to mess up where they sleep, I appreciate that too) cleaned that up and thought of all the moms that have to clean up after their kids do that and am grateful that I didn't have to change any sheets or calm a crying child, just the top blanket that can be washed in the morning, no big deal, go back to bed. I am snuggling Texas she is leaning on my body pillow and at 4am she throws up on my body pillow!!!!!!! YUCK!!!!!!! We also notice that her eye is getting puffing and her lips look a little swollen, we give her some Benedryl and try and go back to sleep but I just toss and turn and try to avoid the wet spot. We get up in the morning and she is still swollen, the other eye is looking swollen too, but at least she is walking around and trying to get some peanut butter! My husband takes her in (at least it's not emergency after hours right? it was still $62 for the consultation, I feel that is a rip off! plus everything else let's just say Texas spent exactly what our tax return was!!!!!! I should have done my post on that! Maybe I'll go change it!) She is back now, they gave her a cortizone shot and watched her for a few hours, Chugs missed her sister very much. They are together and we are going to go take a nap now.
As for the muffin girl story....the dogs went outside yesterday and when Chugs came back down to come inside the door was shut and we have a glass door so we could see her and she had something in her mouth, my husband went closer and it was half a muffin!!!!! He grabbed the camera but the battery was dead! It would have made such a great picture.... he tried to grab it but she ran away, I don't know where she got it, hopefully she didn't take it from some neighborhood kid!!!! So Chugs eats half a muffin and Texas gets sick? We still aren't sure what Texas had an allergic reaction too we are hoping it is one of her treats and we will never buy that one again, but who knows!
Sorry no pictures, use your imagination!

I made them!...
I finally made some sugar cookies! To tell you just how long it's been since I've made sugar cookies, I believe I got these cookie cutters when we got married 5 years ago and this is the first time I've used them! Also I don't own a rolling pin (as you can see in the picture, but a good glass cup works just as well) so that also means I don't bake alot.

I can't believe how good I got them, nice and thick...

And look: they actually turned out! I am always over baking cookies because I'll be watching them, watching them, watching them, then somehow boom! too long! But these turned out! Although the last batch was just one minute too long...

Another way to tell I don't bake much is I don't have any food coloring so the frosting is white!

What else, my dogs!...
Aren't they so cute?

Just a reminder: The little one on the left (Chugs) is a chihuahua/pug mix, the bigger one (Texas) is a pug/beagle mix they are both full grown and Chugs is actually older than Texas.
One minute she is snuggling me and being so nice.....

And when I go to the other room this is what she does! This seriously happens once if not twice a day!

This one likes to beg while you eat, here she is on my lap begging...

I like this one because she was kind of pawing at me...

What do I post about?????
I need to post but I don't know about what...I looked over the pictures I've taken recently and tried to come up with a post, they are mostly of my dogs and you already got a post on that. Not much goes on in my life! Right now I am trying to stay away from colds/flu/any virus if I catch something it will be the end of me, seriously! So I have been a hermit for a couple weeks now, haven't gone to church or on my weekly visit to Wal-mart (not that I'm missing much there).
Health wise I have good and bad days, friday was a good day, I showered, made a few phone calls and even warmed up dinner (a frozen meal thanks to my mom). Saturday wasn't as good but I have been craving these sugar cookies someone brought over so I got the recipe and have been wanting to make them for weeks, finally started sat. night, so my husband calls to find out what we need from the store and I was in the other room so I didn't look at my list and just told him what I remembered (bad idea) he came home and then went and picked up take out for dinner, I called him while he was gone to inform him that I needed more things at the store and not to kill me, of course I told him he didn't have to go because he had a hot dinner in the car.
So I wasn't able to finish my cookies because I didn't have any vanilla, I almost skipped it but my sister wasn't home to ask her how important vanilla is in sugar cookies. I also used all the sugar I had in the cookies so I had no sugar the next morning for my cocoa! I made yummy waffles with a homemade syrup that my dad use to make, I froze the extra waffles for future breakfasts.
My husband is going to the store after school tonight so hopefully I will be able to finish my cookies tomorrow, I just thought of my next post!!!!! Not much else, I don't have a lot of energy, I hate sitting around all day but I can't do anything else! Our sofa is really uncomfortable and makes my back hurt, I do take a nap everyday (are you jealous?) and today I sat outside with my dogs enjoying this beautiful weather.

Word of the Month....
March's word is: PRAYER
In the Bible Dictionary:
In the Bible Dictionary:
"As soon as we learn the true relationship in which we stand toward God (namely, God is our Father, and we are his children), then at once prayer becomes natural and instinctive on our part (Matt. 7:7-11). Many of the so-called difficulties about prayer arise from forgetting this relationship."

What spice are you?...
You Are Basil |
![]() You are quite popular and loved by most people. You have a mild temperament, but your style is definitely distinctive. You are sweet, attractive, and you often smell good. |
Okay I hope I am part of the first line "loved by most people" and hope I'm most of the last line too "sweet, and attractive" don't know about the 'often smell good' part since I don't wear any perfume or even smelly lotion!

#1 Husband...
I have the #1 husband in the whole world, maybe if there happens to be two #1's then you might have the other if not I swear to you I have the #1 husband. It may seem silly to you out there but this picture is of my cocoa pan and mug, my husband has been washing it every morning for me (if we didn't run the dishes, we don't dirty enough dishes to run it every day) before he goes to school which is before 7am!!!! What a sweetheart! I usually try and wash them during the day or before I go to bed because I really don't like to do it in the morning before I make breakfast, hey I'm hungry! Well the other day I didn't clean them and wasn't feeling good at all that night but mentioned as I went to bed that I hadn't cleaned my pan and mug, the next morning it was clean and every morning since then!!!!!!! Every single morning I see them clean I am so filled with gratitude for him, it is just the little things like this that mean so much to me, I mean he does tons of big things too, why else is he #1!!!!!! He takes such great care of me and is so understanding of my limitations right now and has never once complained of all he has to do, besides being in school all day and work he will always stop off on his way home to pick up some meds or at the grocery store even if it's just for one item (which a lot of times it is), he comes home late at night and does the dishes and laundry. I love this wonderful man and am so grateful he is mine for eternity.

UNBELIEVEABLE....
So I don't know if I blogged about it but in Jan. I can't find the post if I did, but we had a little argument with my in-laws (my bro-in-law and some friends moved upstairs) about utilities etc... they said one thing and then they would talk to BIL and then change what they said! My husband got upset because my BIL doesn't trust us, he wants a copy of the bills every month etc... anyways one night we got an email and it really upset my husband and honestly he did have to do something and he doesn't get home until late at night and they are an hour later so it was even more late for them so they got upset etc... anyway, WE worked it out because we made my BIL come talk to us (why is he such a baby and making his parents the middle man? he's 30!) also we were right but that's not the point. So that was the middle of Jan. We haven't heard from them since!!!! Also remember my Christmas time with them?
SO AFTER 6 WEEKS THEY FINALLY CALL US AND THE FIRST THING THEY SAY IS "WE ARE COMING ON THE 18TH"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate when they do this, that is what they did at christmas time, no we are thinking of coming up or is it alright if we stay with you.... well I was totally shocked all I said was "Oh" and paused because I was shocked and then thinking....I think they thought I was not happy about it (which I wasn't) because they then said "we don't want to interrupt any plans you may have" I said "I don't go anywhere or do anything" then they said "is it okay if we stay in that room with the extra bed?" (this is the first time they have ever asked, it must have been because I didn't sound enthusiastic. And hello look at my health you think we CAN go anywhere? if I could I would!!!!! They will be here a whole week, the whole week of spring break!!!! I was so mad because they ruined my christmas break with my husband, I mean he's in school all day everyday but Sunday! I don't get any time with him and he does get a few days off for spring break so I was so mad that they were going to ruin it (but luckily my husband told me he has the weekend off before they come up! Yippee!!!!). Plus (remember back in Dec.) they have complained so much about finances that I can't believe they are going to another $1000 and come up just two months later! Don't complain about money then!!!
The other reason I hesitated was because we have been keeping everyone away, I haven't gone to church in a couple weeks and we don't have any visitors I really have to stay away from viruses, plus the flu shot is only 40% effective this year! So we are really concerned about that, first even if they are healthy (which they always get sick when they come up here, in dec. she even went to the dr. and got on antibiotics!hello!) they are flying for a couple hours and I'm sure will have some germs on them when they get here! I need a detox station, then they most likely will be coming and going and that just increases the risk of bringing something into my house. Honestly if I get something especially the flu, that will be the end of me!
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, DO I CALL AND TELL THEM NOT TO STAY WITH US? BUT THEN WILL THEY BE OFFENDED BEYOND BELIEF, THEY ALREADY HATE ME THOUGH AND FOR SOME REASON CANT TAKE OR ACCEPT THE STATE OF MY HEALTH, IT'S LIKE THEY DON'T BELIEVE I'M THIS BAD, LIKE I'M MAKING IT UP. I'VE TALKED TO MY HUSBAND AND HE'S REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT THE GERMS BUT OF COURSE HE DOESN'T WANT TO SAY YOU CAN'T STAY WITH US AND BE RUDE. But then again in Dec. they stayed three days with his Aunt, why can't they stay there? because they will be visiting them and then coming back to my house and bringing all those germs (they have a lot of kids/grandkids).
WHAT A WAY TO RUIN MY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!!!!!!!!
Sidenote: if you remember or reread my december post about them you will remember that they 'used their key' to let themselves into my house, well we changed the locks! I'm sure they won't be to happy about that! But I couldn't stand the thought that my BIL and anyone that lives upstairs could get into my house (especially when I'm there) we were really concerned at the time that my BIL would try and take Chugs while we were gone too. Ahhh can't wait!:)
Another Sidenote: I just noticed that blogger is different with different web browers, I use Firefox and Safari and in Safari's I noticed that it has a compose tab and that's where I can make my text big and small and different colors but that option isn't in firefox's why?

Word of the Month:
March's word is: PRAYER
I have mixed my word of the month with my goals because I figure if I learn more about them and concentrate on them more than I will also be able to work on my goal or habit of them too. So PRAYER is something I need to work on and each week I will do a post about it.
Thomas S. Monson's talk: Three Goals to guide you given 2007
I know I already did a post about last months word: CHOICES but I read a really good talk about it and it explained what I was trying to say so much better so I wanted to quote some of it here, hey it's only the 1st anyway and even though I did get an extra day last month this technically would only be the 30th if it was a regular month!
This is a talk by James E. Faust called Choices given in 2004.

Thomas S. Monson's talk: Three Goals to guide you given 2007
“Pray always, and I will pour out my Spirit upon you, and great shall be your blessing.” Doctrine and Covenants 19:38
Perhaps there has never been a time when we had greater need to pray and to teach our family members to pray. Prayer is a defense against temptation. It is through earnest and heartfelt prayer that we can receive the needed blessings and the support required to make our way in this sometimes difficult and challenging journey we call mortality.
I know I already did a post about last months word: CHOICES but I read a really good talk about it and it explained what I was trying to say so much better so I wanted to quote some of it here, hey it's only the 1st anyway and even though I did get an extra day last month this technically would only be the 30th if it was a regular month!

Tomorrow’s blessings and opportunities depend on the choices we make today.
“When you have to make a choice and don’t make it, that in itself is a choice.”
William James, as quoted in Evan Esar, ed., 20,000 Quips and Quotes (1968), 132
“You are responsible for the choices you make. You should not blame your circumstances, your family, or your friends if you choose to disobey God’s commandments. You are a child of God with great strength. You have the ability to choose righteousness and happiness, no matter what your circumstances.”
For the Strength of Youth (2001), 5.
How do we make correct choices? A choice involves making a conscious decision....Making correct decisions involves prayer and inspiration.
