A Couple of good Scriptures from Psalms:
33:22
"Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in thee."
38:15
"For in thee, O Lord, do I hope..."
42:11
"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God..."
Maybe I should have looked those up yesterday morning! Or maybe they mean more to me this morning because of what I went through yesterday! Have a good day everyone!

HOPE

I didn't do anything on HOPE today I was still debating weather to do it everyday or not all I can say today for it is: I really HOPE I can stop crying! I have been crying all day! It all started this morning, I went Visiting Teaching and somehow for some reason I mentioned a little something about my in-laws (I haven't said anything about them to anyone but my sister and this blog so no one I know personally knows) and I just started crying! and then now I was just thinking about it and I just can't talk or think about them and not cry! Why do they have to be like this? Why don't they want to help us? Aren't we suppose to bear one anothers burdens? especially our families? we have a lot of people helping us and no one makes us feel like them others are even helping us more than them! If you look at the whole big picture, one this life is just a small tiny speck of our life our next life is for eternity! and the other is in the next life money won't matter here but your relationships will, it won't matter how much money you had, what trips you went on, but it will matter how you spent your money, did you use it to help others especially your family? I have to stop thinking about it now because my dogs back is all wet (she likes to sit on my lap while on the computer)!
HOPE tomorrow is a better day!
What I did today:
Visiting Teaching (only one lady, and I ran out of oxygen while there so we had to leave fast and hurry home)
Walked up and down the stairs twice (different times)
Only watched 1hr. of mindless tv (1/2hr. while I ate breakfast/lunch)
Played 6 games of Sudoku (but during tv tonight-love biggest loser-so kinda multitasking!)
Showered (I feel so good afterwards but it honestly uses a lot of energy)
Did my hair and make-up (now my hair will be good for a couple days)
Wrote a couple thank-you cards (need to write more)

SCALE DOWN....

Sorry this is all in caps I changed the font and thought it only did it in caps until I realized I had the caps lock down!!!!!! How stupid of me!!!!! And I am not going to type this over.
SO MAYBE I SHOULD SCALE DOWN AND NOT POST ABOUT HOPE EVERYDAY, IT IS MY GOAL TO FIND SOMETHING NEW ABOUT MY WORD OF THE MONTH EVERYDAY, BUT MAYBE I SHOULDN'T POST IT, ALTHOUGH IT DOES FEEL GOOD TO BLOG EVERYDAY, YOU MIGHT GET SICK OF READING THAT EVERYDAY. IT REALLY MAKES ME STICK TO IT THOUGH, IF I DON'T BLOG ABOUT IT YOU WILL KNOW I SKIPPED OUT!
I HAVE ALSO TRIED HARDER THIS YEAR TO JUST DO THINGS, NOT PUT THEM OFF, I GOT INTO A REALLY BAD HABIT LAST YEAR OF DOING THAT, BLAMING IT ON MY HEALTH, I DON'T WANT TO DO THAT ANYMORE, IF SOMETHING NEEDS DONE I WANT TO DO IT, NOT HARD THINGS BECAUSE I CAN'T DO THAT BUT SIMPLE THINGS LIKE CALL THE VET FOR A QUESTION, MAIL A PACKAGE, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY CALL A FRIEND! I PUT THAT ONE OFF SO LONG IT TURNS INTO WEEKS AND THEN MONTHS! I ALSO WANT TO WATCH LESS TV, OR WATCH BETTER (NO BEST) TV LIKE DEVOTIONALS AND STUFF I HAVE USED MY HEALTH AS AN EXCUSE TO WATCH LOTS OF MINDLESS TV.
ANOTHER GOAL IS TO LISTEN TO MORE HYMNS AND MEMORIZE MORE HYMNS, THEY ARE SO POWERFUL AND HAVE HELPED ME SO MUCH IN MY LIFE ESPECIALLY IN THE HOSPITAL OR AT NIGHT WHEN I CAN'T SLEEP.
ALSO I HOPE YOU DON'T MIND BUT I THINK I WILL POST ON WHAT I ACCOMPLISHED TODAY SO THAT I WILL DO STUFF SO MY BLOG ENTRY ISN'T EMPTY! HEY IT IS MY BLOG AND IT IS MY JOURNAL! BUT THEN I DON'T WANT TO LOSE ANY READERS OR FRIENDS EITHER.
TODAY:
2 LOADS OF LAUNDRY (ONE OF WHICH IS SHEETS, WHICH IS ONLY HARD FOR ME BECAUSE IT'S HARD TO PUT THEM BACK ON THE BED)
CALLED VET
CLEANED BEDROOM
PREPARED VT MESSAGE
TALKED TO MY SISTER FOR ALMOST AN HOUR
PLAYED 8 GAMES OF SUDOKU (WON ALL OF THEM, NO CHEATING)
LISTENED TO HYMNS FOR 1/2HR.
WATCHED A TALK ABOUT BECOMING A DISCIPLE OF CHRIST
ONLY WATCHED 1/2HR. OF MINDLESS TV ALL DAY (DOESN'T INCLUDE EVENING)
I KNOW THIS LIST MAY SEEM SILLY TO LOTS OF PEOPLE BUT FOR ME AND MY HEALTH TODAY WAS A GREAT DAY AND I HAVE ACCOMPLISHED SO MUCH, I WANTED TO TAKE A SHOWER THIS MORNING BUT PUT IN A LOAD OF WHITES AND BY THEN I HAD NO HOT WATER! AND THEN THOUGHT I WOULD TAKE ONE TONIGHT BUT AM SO WORN OUT FROM MY 'BIG' DAY. 'HOPE' I HAVE ANOTHER GOOD DAY TOMORROW!
HOPE
I found these great quotes:
Hope is necessary in every condition.
Samuel Johnson (1709 - 1784)
Never deprive someone of hope; it might be all they have.
H. Jackson Brown Jr.
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul.
And sings the tune
Without the words,
and never stops at all.
Emily Dickinson (1830 - 1886)
While there's life, there's hope.
Cicero (106 BC - 43 BC), Ad Atticum
Until the day when God shall deign to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom is summed up in these two words,--'Wait and hope'.
Alexandre Dumas (1802 - 1870), The Count of Monte Cristo

Lunch

I keep missing out on great blogging luncheons like this one. So to remedy the situation I am having a blogger lunch at my house January 24th at 1pm. Let me know if you can make it, I would really like to get to know and meet you blogging friends! If another day or time works better let me know too.
HOPE
In a devotional address Pres. Ezra Taft Benson gave to college students he gave a list of his hope's for them, I just wanted to post it here because I think it's cool to see what the Prophet hopes for us and it would be a great list to share with your children.
I share with you my hope for you:
I hope that you learn through your struggles the joy of achievement.
I hope that you recognize in the gospel of Jesus Christ a solution to our problems, temporal and spiritual.
I hope that you marry well, live together in love, rear a family in righteousness, and have joy and rejoicing in your posterity.
I hope that you follow the example and counsel of him whom the Lord has appointed as prophet, seer, and revelator.
I hope that you learn the joy of work, the ability to postpone wants, and the economic independence not to be a slave to any man.
I hope that you keep yourselves clean morally and spiritually, that your confidence will wax strong in the presence of God, as the scriptures say, and the Holy Ghost will be your constant companion (see D&C 121:45–46).
I hope that you will be united in philosophy, purpose, and action to the laws of the celestial kingdom.

Great New Year Start!

There is no better way to start the first saturday of the New Year then going to the Temple! I know it makes us sound like we are a good Temple going couple but I can count on one hand how often we went last year, we tried to go before the new year (what better way to end the year right?) but I got a cold one weekend and then MH got a cold the next etc. etc..

I guess alot of people also wanted to start the year off by getting married! it was full of brides when I got there but not so much when we left, I always hate to see someone get married when the weather outside isn't very nice I always think of their pictures.

Speaking of January weddings, my sister got married in Jan. and her photos show it was very windy!!! (it was in TX so it wasn't quite as cold as here) but still a little cold. I know it's a little early but Happy Anniversary to my sister she has a wonderful husband and they are wonderful parents to the two cutest kids (and one on the way) on the earth!!!!!
