Chugs

I've done a post on my dog Texas and now it is time for Chugs, she is a Chihuahua/Pug mix, here is her story: my husband's brother bought her because his then girlfriend thought she was really cute (and she was, she was soooo little!) then he moved in with his parents (and we lived in the basement at the time) so then Chugs became the family dog, then he went away for the summer to sell alarm systems and my husbands parents moved out of state so Chugs was all ours for the summer and I grew even more attached to her but most importantly this is her home and her neighborhood! she jumps the fence in the backyard and roams the neighboorhood whenever she wants, we wanted to try the electric shock collar to try and stop her from jumping the fence, but she doesn't weigh enough!!!! It's okay she always comes back! Anyways, she is such a loving dog and is always right there with you as you will see in the pictures, she loves my husband soooo much, I think he is the one she loves most, when he is gone she is so sad, and if its overnight she actually sleeps facing the door! We just love her!
Loves to help my husband study!

Loves her 'sister' Texas

I call this picture 'Chugs Praying'

I did not buy her this sweater! My mother-in-law did! This was her first 'grandchild'

Chugs hates the water but loves my husband so she followed him out there but it was getting deeper and colder and so she decided to come back to me!

Loving me because my husband is gone!

Helping dad study

I just love this one, her expression is so cute!!

This is where she is at (if she's not on our lap) when we are on the computer

She knows how to hold the spoon still to lick the PB off it!

Always holds her treats and bones with both paws!

Has the art of begging down!!!!

Is always snuggled on you or next to you on the sofa:

To end with a video, we think she's half cat too, she loves to play with toys and bones upside down like this, too cute.

Witch Switch Gift

I can finally post about the 'Witch Switch Sister' swap I participated in, I am just so excited about what I did, though it doesn't compare to what others did. I am still proud of mine and it's my blog so I can boast about it. I just love making personalized cross-stitches and I have never done something with Halloween attached so this was really fun, it was great fun to create it and then do it, I really like that the ghosts represent he children, and their initials are on the bags:)
I took so many pictures because I was trying different lighting, amazing how it turns out different with and without flash.

EDITED TO ADD:
I received my witch switch package today from Kasi, thank you so much! I especially love the dog buttons:)

Visitors

We have had quite a few visitors this weekend, a couple from Texas stayed with us Thursday and Friday, they treated us to dinner at Carrabas and it was delicious, then we drove through the canyon (Alpine) and took pictures, it was pretty, here are my favorite pictures.

We also had a visit from my brother and his friend and her dog Mya! They not only brought pizza with them but a nerd blizzard too! (no other DQ's serve a nerd blizzard, and we don't even have a DQ here anymore they closed!) It was a great surprise and I loved every bite!

I thought the dogs would have more fun with Mya but they just sniffed each other and followed her around, Texas and Chugs were way more excited to see my brother and his friend. Do you know how hard it is to try and take a picture with three dogs? Hard! Here is our hard work:

Hope everyone has a great conference weekend!

Conference

Wow, what a great Conference so far! Every single talk has been so good and had something in it for me. The best little quote that means the most to me right now is from Elder Uchtdorf he said 'Endure joyfully to the end' I really like that. This is how I watch conference with my dogs and my cross-stitch! I had the window open and it was so beautiful and even cold enough to snuggle in a blanket! Love it!

Pizza Mystery

Okay, what happened to the pizza? There was two pieces left in the box on our coffee table with a pillow on top like the picture, my husband is in the other room doing homework and then I go in the other room and do my treatments, our little dog Chugs in on my lap (as usual) and then I hear something in the other room and say 'that better not be the pizza box' I call Texas and she comes running in (if she was eating the pizza I don't think she would have come! why would a dog stop?) and she was fine so I continued.

When I went back in the living room I found the pizza box on the floor upside down and closed! my heart skipped a beat, I opened the box and no pizza! but there wasn't any evidence of pizza anywhere! No sauce, no grease, nothing on the dog, surely she would have had some on her mouth or paw! I kinda had a mini panic, what if she ate the pizza! do we have to take her to the vet? but she didn't show any signs of having eaten it! she was still energetic not lazy or full.

So where did the pizza go? I think the little dog would have joined in if there was pizza (actually one time she jumped on the table, opened the pizza box and ate all the cheese off the pizza! she loves cheese. This was not at my house!!!) and they never sniffed around the spot like they normally do when food has been there....hmmm....it's still a mystery!

Also here is the picture that went with my post the other day talking about my sweet husband, here the note he left me one morning.

Feeling better and stupid...

That's right, I am feeling a bit better although I have times of the day that I just don't feel good! But I also feel stupid that I am complaining because there are so many people out there suffering and fighting their own battles and keeping their chin up and fight all valiantly. Not that I was looking for sympathy or comments of 'feel better' etc... I just wanted to express how I was feeling at the moment and now I look back and feel stupid!

I was able to make a few cards and send out a few pkgs. one of which is my Witch Switch that I participated in and am so excited about what I did, not sure if I can post pictures yet, don't want my witch switch sister to see it yet! But I love when I can create a cross-stitch that is personal, I will definately do a post later about it.
