Movies/Name...

R O R O

I don't think besides explaining why I choose the 'island' part of my blog why I chose the 'RoRo' part too, obviously it's not my name just a nickname, I grew up without being called by a nickname, really it's true, there was the occasional 'making fun of name' nickname but I was never called a nickname, come to think of it none of my siblings either except the baby of the family, anyways I always liked how you could call Emily Em or Kathryn Katy But I never had one, so now I do! So I know people sometimes use their first name but I kind of like using my nickname since I never had one! So that's why if I sign something it's RoRo and unless you need to mail me something I prefer RoRo.

Way to go Wendi and Marie! that was a little bit hard since if you don't have the voice in your head it doesn't sound as great just reading it!
1. Remember the Titans
2. Miss Congeniality
3. Wedding Planner
4. Mulan
5. Toy Story
Mulan is my all time favorite, love Toy Story, could watch #2 & 3 over and over and I do like football movies especially this one!

100!!!!!

That's right I have posted 100 times! it has only been a little more than 3 months! Here is my first post, it was fun to go back and read that, I feel the same way about my blog and why I blog, since then I have gotten a digital camera so I can add pictures to my post (great I should have one of me on the computer!) I am still getting better at that one. I really love the blogging world, in my first post I mention how I had a ton of blogs in my google reader, I would keep up with a bunch of blogs but have since had to scale back because I want to make sure that the blog friends I have I can keep (as long as they want me), it does take time to keep up with blogs and comment but my blog friends are the most friends I've ever had! (wait does that sound pathetic?).

I'm not very good with words I just want to let my blog friends know that I am devoted to you and I read and keep up with your blog and try to comment as much as I can but since I'm not good with words sometimes I write a comment a couple times and then end up canceling because I just can't get it to sound right!

So just thanks friends for coming to 'my island' and partyin' with me.

Tuesday Tell All...

Movie Madness, we are suppose to tell about some of our favorite movies and I love what Wendi did so I am going to steal her idea but just do five, and sorry no contest! These sound good in my head but if they are too hard I will post hints.

1."You think football is fun?" "Yes, No, Zero fun Sir!"

2. "Hey, I'm gliding here!"

3. "I only eat the brown ones because I think they have less artificial coloring since chocolate's already brown"

Disney:
4. "Sure she brought home a sword, but if you ask me she should have brought home a man!"

5. "Plus is positive! Minus is negative!"

Can you name these movies?

Our friends six-year old son drew our dogs for us, aren't they great? They are just right because Texas has bigger ears and a bigger tail then Chugs.

Great Quotes...

I found some great quotes from a pile of papers from some Institute classes and since I like good quotes I thought I would share....

"All men are the spirit children of the Eternal Father. . .all have come or will come to earth at an appointed time, in a specified place, to live among a designed people. In all of this there is no chance. . .He alone determines where and when and among what people his spirit children shall undergo their mortal probation. . .all of these things operate by law; they are the outgrowth of long years of personal preparation in the preexistence." Bruce R. McConkie, A New Witness for the Articles of Faith, p.512-513

"We shall turn round and look upon it (death) and think. . .why this is the greatest advantage of my whole existence, for I have passed from a state of sorrow, grief, mourning, woe, misery, pain, anguish and disappointment unto a state of existence where I can enjoy life to the fullest extent as far as that can be done without a body. My spirit is set free, I thirst no more, I want to sleep no more, I hunger no more, I tire no more, I run, I walk, I labor, I go, I do this, I do that, whatever is required of me, nothing like pain or weariness, I am full of life, full of vigor, and I enjoy the presence of my Heavenly Father." Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, 17:142

"Let me assure you, Brethren, that some day you will have a personal priesthood interview with the Savior, Himself. If you are interested, I will tell you the order in which He will ask you to account for your earthly responsibilities: First -He will request an accountability report about your relationship with your wife. Have you actively been engaged in making her happy and ensuring that her needs have been met as an individual? Second -He will want an accountability report about each of your children individually. He will not attempt to have this for simply a family stewardship but will request information about your relationship to each and every child. Third -He will want to know what you personally have done with the talents you were given in the pre-existence. Fourth -He will want a summary of your activity in your church assignments. He will not be necessarily interested in what assignments you have had. . .but He will request a summary of how you have been of service to your fellow men in your church assignments. Fifth -He will have no interest in how you earned your living, but if you were honest in all your dealings. Sixth -He will ask for an accountability on what you have done to contribute in a positivve manner to your community, state, country, and world." David O. McKay. June, 1965 to a group of men in the Physical Facilities Dept. of the Church

How I'm doing....

Well this week has turned into a good week, still not over and tomorrow is a dr. appointment so not thrilled. Every day I have been able to say at the end of the day that I have had a good day and appreciate that I haven't had fevers or long periods of not feeling good. I am really really grateful and hope it will continue. Thanks for all your love and concern.
